Lions Edge Dodson In Overtime

Lustre Christian’s girls’ basketball squad kept its season alive by beating Dodson, 53-45, in overtime during loser- out action at the District 3C tournament on Friday, Feb. 17.

After a 41-41 deadlock at the end of regulation, the Lions outscored Dodson by a 12-4 margin in overtime to earn the victory.

Alexa Reddig poured in 26 points to lead the Lions. Aubri Holzrichter added 12 points.

Also scoring were Grace Brown with seven, Abby Olfert with three, Lauryn Holzrichter with three and Hannah Brown with two points.

Kataya KillEagle scored 25 points for Dodson.

Lustre trailed by a 25-20 half-time margin and by a 32-25 score after three quarters. Lustre scored 16 points in the fourth period to force overtime.
