FPCC Event Features Buffalo Harvest, Butchering

Fort Peck Community College is hosting a winter buffalo harvest Dec. 21.

The event will focus on hide preservation and butchering techniques. The wider campus community is welcome to participate and experience the harvest, which will begin on Winter Solstice, Dec. 21.

Said a press release, “We especially want to encourage our students and their families to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity.”

Transportation and meals will be provided free of charge.
