College Announces New Vice President College Announces New Vice President

 

The new Fort Peck Community College vice president for academics and vocational education is Robyn Baker.

She is an enrolled member of the Fort Peck Tribes and was raised and graduated high school in Poplar. Baker received her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from MSU-Northern and continued on at Montana State University. She received a master’s degree in educational leadership as well as a degree as an education specialist.

Baker has an extensive background in education. She has 23 years of teaching experience, 15 years of school administration experience and had the opportunity to lead a school improvement process.

FPCC president Haven Gourneau said, “We are excited to have Robyn join our administrative team, we have experienced major changes in the last few years with incorporating online education, dual credit, course sharing, and cultural initiatives, her leadership experience will certainly be welcome.”

Baker will join the FPCC campus community on Jan. 1.
