NEMHS Foundation Receives Grant
Northeast Montana Health Services Charitable Foundation has received a $3,000 grant from the Sample Foundation in Billings. Brandi Lynn Wilkinson, executive director of the foundation, said the money will go toward the purchase of a recently acquired transport van for Faith Home. The 2008 Chevy Uplander was purchased from a local family and features a 750-pound lift.
Senior and long-term care administrator at Faith Home, Joby Flynn, said the van will be used to transport residents to out-of-area appointments and for ambulatory runs.
Wilkinson applied for the grant this past summer and said she was beyond thrilled when she received a phone call from Barbara Sample about the grant.
As far as the future for the NEMHS Charitable Foundation, Wilkinson said she and her board have many ideas and plans for improvements at all NEMHS locations — ones that will benefit the community as well. End-ofthe year events include the Festival of Trees on Dec. 3 in Wolf Point and on Dec. 16 in Poplar, an end-of-year appeal featuring Giving Jars at NEMHS locations, and for the big finale of 2022, a New Year’s Eve masquerade ball in Wolf Point.
The Northeast Montana Health Services Charitable Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit that raises funds to purchase medical equipment and improve the stay of people who seek care at NEMHS.
