Day Pleads Not Guilty To Drug Charges

The U.S. Attorney’s Office announced that Jordan Paige Day, 24, of Wolf Point was arraigned last week before U.S. Magistrate judges on indictments handed down by the Grand Jury or on criminal complaints. The charging documents are merely accusations and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Day made a plea of not guilty before U.S. Magistrate Judge John T. Johnston in Great Falls on Nov. 15.

Day faces the charges of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute controlled substances and possession with intent to distribute controlled substances.

If convicted of the most serious crime, Day faces a mandatory minimum five years to 40 years in prison, a $5 million fine and at least four years of supervised release.

Day was released pending further proceedings.

The Federal Bureau of Invstigation, Idaho State Police, Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office and Fort Peck Department of Law and Justice investigated the case.

According to court documents, Day from November 2021 through at least April 2022, knowingly and unlawfully conspired with other individuals to distribute and to possess with the intent to distribute 50 grams or more of a substance containing a detectable amount of meth and a substance containing a detectable amount of fentanyl.
