Logan Strauser
Logan Wade Strauser, age 23, of Billings died Friday, Sept. 23, 2022.
He was born on Oct. 23, 1998, in Sidney to Lisa Strauser. He lived with his grandmother Monica LaRoque for a brief time in Poplar, before moving to Billings with his parents, Lisa and Terrance Adams. He attended school from elementary through high school in Billings. He graduated from Skyview High School in 2017.
He was not only just his mom’s best friend. He was, and always will be, the light and love of her life. He could always bring his mom out of a bad mood, even when they disagreed about things. He was his mom’s protector and voice of reason. His smile and crazy sense of humor was contagious.
He recently started doing stand-up comedy. He won the crowd over and was asked for return performances. He was a gamer from a young age. There wasn’t a game he couldn’t master.
He was quite intelligent, especially when it came to technology and accounting. While at Skyview High School, he competed in the H & R Block Accounting Contest. Competing against high schools across the U.S., his team placed in the top five in the nation. Being athletic, he participated in several sports throughout his lifetime, including cross country, football, basketball, track and baseball.
His dad Terrance had a special place in his heart. Logan knew his dad would do whatever it took to provide him with whatever he needed or wanted and that he could depend on his dad for help, advice and support, no matter what.
The matriarch in his life was his grandmother, Monica LaRoque. While being raised by her, he learned manners and how to be respectful of others. He and his grandma had a close bond.
He spent many summers in Wolf Point with his cousins and enjoyed doing things with them. They went to church every Sunday, attended vacation Bible school, rode on the D.A.R.E. float in the annual Stampede parade and got into whatever mischief they could find. He attended pow-wows and was a grass dancer and he danced Kahomani every chance he got. He especially loved spending time with his adopted grandmother, Myrle. He always made her laugh.
He is survived by his parents, Lisa Strauser and Terrance Adams; sisters, Cora and Cali Adams and Tessa and Jori White Hawk; brothers, Lance Sampson, Raymond Olson and R.J. White Hawk; grandmothers, Monica LaRoque, Monica Buckles, Thayle (Weegee) Adams, Irene Bighorn, Karen and Anna Eder, Rosella Sky Arrow, Sheryl Berger and Shelley Sears, all of Poplar, Brenda Bauer of Wolf Point, Kathy Eder of Billings, Ferol Feather Earring of Minot, N.D., and Rayola Eder of Palm Springs, Calif.; a special grandmother, Ernestine Ireland of Poplar; grandfathers, Bruce Bauer of Wolf Point, Marty and Jeff Strauser, George, Carl and Cary Eder of Poplar and Ross Strauser of Kalispell.
His funeral service was held Saturday, Oct. 1, at the Poplar Cultural Center. Interment followed at the Poplar City Cemetery. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel was entrusted with the arrangements.
