Letters To The Editor

Dear Editor:

Kudos to your staff this year with your expanded coverage of local events and printing other informative articles!

We recently appreciated your article about the grasshopper plague that we are experiencing this year and would like to see some follow- up worries addressed.

For example, here north of town, we have lost all our grass, garden and plantings, and so many of our trees in our wind belt and yards been stripped clean. How does this year stack up against other years? How many years is the cycle likely to last? How should we treat our stripped trees: water? Don’t water? Will they come back next year? How much crop has been lost this year in the area?

Kudos also to the folks bringing grant money to our community for the many needed projects covered in your newspaper. Clyta Dillon
