Northeast Montana Fair Closes Aug. 6

Glasow’s Northeast Montana Fair schedule kicked off July 28 with 4-H horse shows Thursday and Friday morning. Saturday saw the Ranch Scramble Calcutta.

At press time Aug. 2, the PRCA rodeo and wild horse race is set to start at 7 p.m., as was judging for FFA floriculture, culinary arts, needlework and horticulture entries.

Aug. 3 was set to feature a full day of commercial booths and open class exhibits, animal weigh-ins, a petting zoo, a car show, rodeo calcutta and another night of rodeo and wild horse action starting at 7 p.m.

Thursday, Aug. 4, will see the swine show, sheep and goat judging and other entries and exhibits and Friday, Aug. 5, will see the 4-H/ FFA livestock sale at 6 p.m. and Demolition Derby at 7 p.m.

Pens and stalls will be cleaned and exhibits and booths removed during the fair’s final day, Saturday, Aug. 6. Farm Olympics will be hosted at 1:30 p.m., followed by 4-H awards at 3 p.m. The gates will open at 6 p.m. for music on the main stage from Clay Walker, Ned Ledoux and the Cooper Mountain Band, with performances starting at 7 p.m.

The 2022 Northeast Montana Fair Commission includes Paul McColly, Justin Fuhrman, Tim Potter, Alissa Kuka and RyLee Mix. Fair staff includes Katie Potter, Kerry Hentges and secretary Bonnie Bell.
