Yellow Jackets Drop Games In Glendive

The Wolf Point Yellow Jackets’ American Legion team dropped two games to the Glendive Blue Devils on Wednesday, June 1.

“We didn’t really start the first game off real well. We drop that game 13-3,” Wolf Point Coach Scott Vandall said. “We just had one bad inning that game and couldn’t get things going.”

In the second game, the Yellow Jackets played a whole lot better but lost 12-9.

“We led most of the game. We gave up one big inning and that cost us,” Vandall said. “We battled back but fell short. We had things going our way. The kids played hard. We just couldn’t get that last out of the inning. We will make some adjustments and move on.”

Wolf Point will lay at a tournament in Watford City this weekend.

“We have more experience then our Babe Ruth. The kids are learning and improving. We will fix some things as the week progress and move on,” Vandall said. “We have some little things to work on and improve. We have 33 more game left, a lot of baseball.”
