Gourneau To Serve As Trustee In Wolf Point

Roxanne Gourneau will represent District 2 on the Wolf Point School board for the next year.

In District 2, Jaronn Boysun and Roxanne Gourneau tied with 36 votes each during the May 3 election.

Incumbent Linda L. Hansen received 24 votes.

A recount board on Monday, May 9, determined the same results with Boysun and Gourneau tying with 36 votes each.

The trustees decided that the outcome would be decided by a drawing of lots. Gourneau’s name was drawn to serve as the district’s trustee for one year.

During the organizational meeting prior to the drawing of lots, trustees selected Elizabeth DeCoteau Lingle as the board’s new chair. Lawrence Hamilton Jr. was voted as the vice chair.
