Wolf Point High School senior Jack Sprague enjoys the activities that he is involved in very much this year.

His activities include basketball, baseball and the National Honor Society.

Although he was gone the day that officers were selected for the National Honor Society, he feels the organization is beneficial.

“The fundraiser is fun,” Sprague said of the group. “We’re always doing something for the school or community.”

He said as far as the classroom, his favorite subject is college composition with teacher Douglas Evans.

“I like the discussions,” Sprague said. “Mr. Evans gets everybody engaged.”

He enjoys attending school in Wolf Point.

“I like my classmates and the community, good times,” Sprague said.

He is currently a member of Wolf Point High School’s boys’ basketball team. While some players start the sport at a very young age, Sprague didn’t play basketball until he was 14 years old.

“All my friends were going to play basketball and they convinced me to try it,” Sprague said. “Before then, I just didn’t have the interest and didn’t think I would be good at it.”

He admits that he didn’t shine when he first tried the sport.

“I was terrible. I was really bad at the beginning,” Sprague said. “Each year, I got better and better.”

He is now one of Wolf Point’s varsity players. He feels rebounding and defense are his best assets. “I try really hard to do what the coach wants me to,” he explained.

During summer months, Sprague loves playing American Legion baseball.

“I grew up around it and it’s my favorite sport,” Sprague said. “And my favorite team just won the World Series.”
