Kurokawa To Serve As Wolf Point Chamber President

Aaron Kurokawa was approved as the new president of the Wolf Point Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture during a board meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 7.

Kurokawa has agreed to serve in the position for one year, according to chamber officials. The decision came after Jeff Presser announced he was stepping down as president but remaining as a board member.

Kurokawa wasn’t at the meeting, but officials said he was willing to take on the duties for one calendar year.

In a review of the Christmas Stroll, directors agreed to hold the event on Saturdays from now on instead on a Friday night.

Attendance was lower than usual because of conflicts with home basketball games and other activities. Officials said one of the static displays was stolen.

Jerald Petersen is working on the organizing a centennial committee for the Wolf Point Wild Horse Stampede, which celebrates its 100th year in 2023.

Chamber shopping dollars are on sale in the chamber office and can be redeemed at most Wolf Point businesses.

Wolf Point will host the District 3C basketball tournament on Feb. 17-19, 2022. The chamber will help with tickets and the hospitality room.
