Red Hawks Open At Home Against Hot Springs

The Froid/Lake Red Hawks are hoping to match last year’s championship playoff run this season.
The defending state sixman champions will take on Hot Springs starting at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30, in Medicine Lake. Hot Springs enters the playoffs with a 6-2 record and was the third-place team from the Western C. The squad’s only defeats came against Valley Christian, 40-36, on Sept. 25, and 8-6 against White Sulphur Springs on Friday, Oct. 22.
The Savage Heat are led by senior quarterback/running back Jack McAllister.
“He gets the ball on every play whatever they need to do,” Froid/Lake Coach Michael Reiter said. Reiter said McAllister is similar to Grady Gonsioroski of Richey/Lambert.
The coach said the undefeated Red Hawks have been having good practices and are prepared for the post season.
“They are ready for some football to be jacked up about,” Reiter said.
If the Red Hawks defeat Hot Springs, they will host the Bridger/Valier winner on Nov. 6.
The other top seeds entering the playoffs are White Sulphur Springs, Power/Dutton/ Brady, Shields Valley and Denton/Geyser/Stanford/ Grass Range/Winnett.
