Residents and visitors can assist in making the Wolf Point Area Museum even better by attending the annual fundraising breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 10.

As well as helping pay for the facility’s upkeep, funds will be utilized to put insulation and cement for the museum’s garage addition. Plans for the space include displaying a 1956 Wolf Point fire truck, antique tractors and antique vehicles. In addition, there might be false fronts of four of Wolf Point’s buildings on display there in the future.

Already, nearly 300 tickets have been sold for the pancake breakfast.

“Come, enjoy and visit,” Wolf Point Area Museum board president Jim Marmon said. “It’s turned out to be the place to go during Stampede on Saturday morning. You get to see people you haven’t seen for the past 10 to 15 years.”

He noted that with the facility having air conditioning, people really like hanging around to visit and relax.

“It’s really nice,” Marmon said.

While at the museum, people might enjoy looking at photos from Stampedes taken from many years ago. Museum curator Sarah Wagner said the older group photo is from 1921.

They add that Stampede week is the busiest time of the year for the museum. Many of the people visiting like touring the museum prior to the night’s rodeo.
