Bainville’s Hansen, Poser Qualify For State

Bainville accounted for six points in the boys’ division and five points in the girls’ division during the Eastern C track meet in Sidney on Thursday, May 20.

Kaden Hansen, a senior, placed third in the shot put with a best of 43-8. He will also compete in the discus at the state meet because he qualified during the regular season.

Emma Poser led Bainville’s girls with a fourth-place showing in the 3200 (13:17.14) and sixth place in the 1600 at 5:53.22.

Among those athletes coming close to placing for Bainville were Samuel Butikofer with a seventh in the high jump, Carter Winn with a ninth in the triple jump, Drae Nelson with a ninth in the 3200 and Micah Anderson with a ninth in the shot put.

The Class C and Class AA state track and field meets are Friday and Saturday in Missoula.
