Poplar’s boys placed fourth with 50 points and Poplar’s girls took fifth with 51 points during the District 2B track meet held in Wolf Point on Saturday, May 15. The top teams were Glasgow’s girls and Wolf Point’s boys.

Tyler Pribbernow, a senior, enjoyed a standout performance for the Indians. Pribbernow earned first place in the javelin at 151-05, fourth place in the discus at 118-02 and fifth place in the shot put at 40-02.

Kaelen Smith finished second in the 100 at 11.78 and fifth in the 200 at 24.44 seconds. He also earned fourth in the long jump at 18-05.

Kameron Reum, a freshman, earned third in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 18.42 seconds and third in the 300-meter hurdles in 45.62 seconds. Jase Frederick finished fifth in the 300-meter hurdles in 48.65 seconds.

Inyan Growning Thunder placed third in the triple jump at 37-04.

Keandra Martell put together a strong performance for Poplar’s girls. The senior finished first in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 18.10 seconds and second in the 300-meter hurdles at 52.50.

Martell also placed third in the discus at 83-05, fifth in the javelin at 91-09 and sixth in the long jump at 1402. She has signed to compete in track for Minot State University.

Jazmin Gorder finished second in the 1600 in 5:40.40 and second in the 800 at 2:29.95.

Kessee Erickson, a freshman, placed fourth in the discus at 81-10.

Jazmyn CarryWater placed fifth in the 3200 with a time of 14:01.52.

The divisional meet is scheduled in Glasgow on Saturday, May 22.
