School Election Filing Deadline Is March 25
Area residents can consider seeking school board positions as many trustee spots are up for election this spring. Deadline for filing is 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 25. Election day is scheduled for Tuesday, May 4.
In Wolf Point, the district 3 position currently held by board chair Mark Kurokawa is up for election. He has indicated that he will not seek re-election.
A trustee spot in district 4 is also open after Janice Wemmer-Kegley resigned in February.
Positions up for election in Poplar are currently held by Debra Mc-Gowan and Lane Dehner.
Three positions are up for election in Culbertson. There are two three-year terms up for re-election that are currently held by Paul Finnicum and Mark Colvin. There is also a one-year spot open after the resignation of Gy Salvevold.
For Frontier Elementary School, the position currently held by Bill Pew is up for election.
The two trustees currently held by John Gilligan and Dana Berwick in Bainville are up for election.
Up for election in Froid are the trustee spots currently held by Blake Murray and Josh Rios.
In Frazer, there will be an election for a three-year trustee position currently held by Michael Cole and a one-year spot currently held by Yancey Beston.
