Michael WiseSpirit

Michael Dale “Johnny Boy” WiseSpirit, 59, died July 3, 2020, at the Billings Clinic.

He was born March 26, 1961, to Genevieve Bear and Owen WiseSpirit in Poplar. He graduated from Poplar High School and immediately enlisted in the United States Army. After 4½ years of service, he was honorably discharged.

He came back to Poplar where he resided until his death. He made many lifelong friendships with his love of teasing and making others laugh. He was a cowboy who loved his country jams.

He is survived by his brother, Anthony “Tony” WiseSpirit of Poplar; and sisters, Beth Whitebull of Poplar, Mary Lou Azure and Madonna Azure of White Shield, N.D.

A funeral service was held Saturday, July 11, at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. Interment was at the Poplar City Cemetery. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point was entrusted with the arrangements.
