The Bennion Family will share their musical talents as part of the 30th annual Sunrise Festival of the Arts, presented by Dasinger Oil Properties, on Saturday, July 11.

The day at Veterans Memorial Park will feature a great variety of talent including Sunrise Brass, a short play by Sidney students and Cutting Edge Dance Studio performers.

Children of Dr. Brett and Daniela Bennion: Annika, 17, Bronte, 15, and Tarquin, 13, are looking forward to entertaining the crowd starting at about 11:40 a.m. on July 11.

It’s been six years since the Bennions have performed at the Sunrise Festival of the Arts. “It’s been a long time because they have been busy going to camps in the summer,” Daniela explained.

Selections will include Tarquin and Annika playing the fiddle and Bronte singing, “Summer Time.” Tarquin will play and sing “Dust in the Wind.” Annika will perform a classical number on her violin.

“We have two songs that we will sing together acapella, the four of us,” Daniela said.

Annika is a contestant in this year’s Miss Montana Outstanding Teen program. The event is scheduled to take place in Glendive on July 19-25.

The three Bennion children have increased their musical skills through online classes with instructors from throughout the world.

“They’ve had teachers all the way from Scotland to Mexico,” Daniela said.

Currently, they have instructors from Florida, Tennessee, Idaho, North Dakota and California.

The Sunrise Festival of the Arts connects local and regional artists, craftspeople and authors with shoppers and enthusiasts. The Sidney Area Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture Sunrise Festival Committee plans and executes a full day of shopping, demonstrations, live entertainment, kids activities and food options. The Kids Korner is sponsored by Union Gateway Agency.

Purchase a Sunrise Festival button and redeem discounts offered by local merchants and enter to win prizes, including the annual grand prize: a piece of art from the featured artist of the year. Sidney native Cole Fink of Fink Furniture has been selected as the featured artist for this year’s Sunrise Festival of the Arts.
