The first recipients of the annual Brayden Joseph Jackson Memorial Scholarship are Wolf Point’s Bryor Roy Smith and Nashua’s Brennan Peters.

The scholarship committee created the award to honor Jackson and focused this year on his love for baseball. Formerly of Frazer, Jackson was killed in an auto accident Sept. 26, 2018. He was 18 years old.

Jackson participated in Glasgow baseball programs beginning with Tball. His last two years were spent playing with the Yellowjackets in Wolf Point.

Smith is a 2020 graduate of Wolf Point High School. He was presented with a framed certificate and $500 at commencement activities May 24 at the Stampede grounds.

Peters attended Glasgow High School. Jackson’s mother, Renee Fettig, presented Peters with her award and certificate at her home in Nashua.
