Wolf Point Receives $355,000 For Water System Improvements

Wolf Point has received $355,000 in grant funding from the United States Department of Agriculture to make improvements to the outdated water main systems in Wolf Point.

“In these unprecedented times, folks in our frontier communities should have peace of mind knowing they have access to clean water,” said Sen. John Tester. “This investment will help Wolf Point make critical improvements to their water system, ensuring they have access to clean water without emptying their pocketbooks.”

The funding will replace water mains experiencing leaks and corrosion under the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad tracks in Wolf Point. The existing mains were first installed by the City of Wolf Point in approximately 1900 and 1950. These mains have reached the end of their effective life span and need to be replaced.
