LeRoy Gordon Comes Last, 80, of Poplar died Oct. 27, 2025. He was known across Indian Country for his deep connection with his Creator, horses, his rodeo skills and his dedication to the Wellbriety Movement. He was a true cowboy at heart, raising and caring for bucking horses with pride and skill. Beyond the ranch, he carried the strength, wisdom, and traditions of his people with deep pride. He was a respected historian and storyteller, dedicated to preserving as much as he could about our culture and its spiritual side. A devoted member of the Native American Church, he lived a life of prayer, humility and purpose, integrating his faith and cultural teachings into everything he did. Through his guidance, stories and teachings, he reminded others of the importance of remembering who we are, where we come from, and living in balance with the land, the Creator and one another. He was well known throughout all the reservations in the United States as well as in Canada, and he spent much of his life traveling to teach others the ways of our ancestors, sharing wisdom, tradition and cultural guidance with countless individuals and communities. He dedicated his life to helping others. Professionally, he worked as a counselor for Spotted Bull, in the judicial system supporting troubled youth and as a supervisor at A& S, earning respect for his leadership, strong work ethic and the care he showed to everyone around him. He also served as a domestic violence advocate and ran sweats for the BOA as well as for people in treatment, offering guidance, healing and spiritual support. Additionally, he was an active member of the Mending Broken Hearts Wellbriety Movement. He traveled widely and participated in rodeos throughout Indian Country, showcasing his skill, courage and love for the traditions he held dear. He also shared his knowledge of horse teachings, passing on lessons of respect, patience and connection to all who learned from him. He also served his country as a veteran, carrying the same dedication, integrity and quiet strength into every aspect of his life. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Pricilla (Bonnie), Gloria and Eleanore; brother, Malcom; wife, Tammy; and children, LeRay, Gordon, Emerson and Edison. He is survived by his wife, Sabrina; daughters, Amber Comes Last Yellow Owl, Kristi Comes Last Big Leggins, Rebecca Comes Last and Malissa Comes Last; sons, Taylor Comes Last and Lucas Comes Last; brother, Daniel Comes Last Jr.; grandchildren he raised from birth, Ryan Comes Last, Kellee Comes Last Red Dog, Hunter Comes Last Pedraza, Lexus Comes Last and Legacy Comes Last; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to gather for a wake on Thursday, Dec. 4, at 7 p.m., followed by services on Friday, Dec. 5, at 11 a.m., both to be held at the Poplar Cultural Center. Burial will be on the Comes Last Family Ranch in Poplar. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel was entrusted with arrangements.

Elvis R. Follet Jr., 46, died Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025, in Wolf Point. He was born June 26, 1979, to Elvis Follet Sr. and Lisa Hall. He lived most of his life in the Frazer and Wolf Point area, settling in Wolf Point. He attended school in Frazer and Wolf Point, achieving his G.E.D. He met Kerry Comes Last in 2000. They had a son together, Elvis Follet III. He was always helping others who needed help and never denied anyone. He was always being teased by whoever came across him and was a good spirited person, always laughing and smiling and trying to get back at someone who teased him first. He liked listening to music, hunting, fishing and playing cards and board games. He held the table for a long time when he played whist or Scrabble. He especially liked hanging out with his younger siblings as he would say, Bobbie, Tyra, Terrell, Aurora and Russellynn. He is survived by his brother, Isaiah Follet of Billings. Funeral services were held Nov. 20 at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Ponit. Interment was at the Oswego Presbyterian Cemetery. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point was entrusted with the arrangements.
