Wolf Point eighth-grader Cali Gorder ran to first-place honors at the Poplar Invitational held on Saturday, Sept. 6. Gorder finished with a winning time of 21:33.27. Poplar’s freshman Journey Gourneau placed second at 21:42.63. In the boys’ division, freshman Andrew Williamson placed ninth at 20:41.22. Poplar Teams Win Titles At Home Meet

Poplar’s volleyball team dropped two close league matches during the week. The Indians fell to Fairview, 10-25, 24-26, 18-25, at home on Thursday, Sept. 4. Indians Drop Match To Scobey


The Poplar Indians lost at home against a strong Scobey volleyball squad by a 5-25, 12-25, 11-25, final on Tuesday, Sept. 2. After losing the first set, the Indians took a 3-1 lead in the second set.
