The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 173 calls from July 20-27.
The calls included the following: July 20
Deputies received a report from Fort Kipp regarding an assault. Deputies showed up to the scene and were told by family members that there wasn’t a fight. Five minutes later, dispatch requested deputies back to the scene where two females were fighting in an alley. One

Prisoners housed in the Roosevelt County Detention Center over the past week included: T’shauna Azure, 27, Wolf Point, criminal endangerment.
Frank Baker, 44, Wolf Point, driving with a suspended or revoked license.
Joshua Best, 40, Billings, hold for other agency.
Jonathan Black Jr., 39, Williston, N.D., warrant.
Allery Blackdog, 35, Brockton, serving sentence.

Charles Wayne Nixon of Frazer was found guilty of sexual abuse of children during a multiple day jury trial in Valley County last week.
According to the Glasgow Courier, Nixon was found guilty of possessing 162 images and four videos of child sexual abuse materials.
Sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 21.
According to court documents, ICAC Data Systems informed the Valley County Sheriff’s

According to the Montana Department of Labor and Industry, Roosevelt is tied with Granite County for 49th place with an unemployment rate of 5.1 percent. Roosevelt County has 34 less individuals employed than at this time in 2025.
Montana’s unemployment rate dipped sightly in June to 3.3 percent.
