Former Valley County Undersheriff Luke Strommen was released from the Roosevelt County Detention Center Monday, Nov. 18. A Nov. 15 hearing instituted new conditions for his release. Judge John Larson of Missoula revoked Strommen Oct. 22 after community members expressed concerns about conditions violations. Testing the water supply in Brockton has become a challenge, according to a legal notice published in this newspaper Nov. 14. The notice, addressed to all community of Brockton water users, states, “We are required to monitor your drinking water for total coliform bacteria on a regular basis. Results of regular monitoring are an indicator of whether or not our drinking water meets health standards.

Wolf Point’s Town Pump was robbed Thursday, Nov. 14, at 5 a.m., according to Wolf Point Police Lieutenant Brian Erwin. Two suspects were apprehended in the robbery.
