Ashtyn Hentges of Wolf Point has earned selection to the honor roll, dean’s list and chancellor’s list at Montana Technological University in Butte. A student who earns a 4.0 GPA is placed on the chancellor’s list. Derek Bowker of Culbertson has been named to the President’s Honor Roll for the fall 2020 semester at Bismarck State College. Students must maintain at least a 3.50 grade point

Lady Wolves Fall Short Against Glendive


The Wolf Point Lady Wolves hustled throughout the contest but came up just short, 41-37, against Glendive at home on Tuesday, Jan. 12. The shorter Wolf Point team, which provided a 100-percent effort, pulled to 36-34 on a Haidyn Raining Bird with 3:17 remaining in the contest. Glendive moved ahead to 38-35 on a basket by Mallory Robinson, but a drive by Wolf Point’s Josie Kolstad closed

Wolf Point Boys Look Ahead To Conference Schedule


Wolf Point’s boys’ basketball team played close in the first half before falling in Glendive, 68-38, on Tuesday, Jan. 12. The Wolves trailed by only a 12-7 margin in the first quarter and 24-17 at intermission. Glendive took control with 20 points in the third quarter and 24 more points in the fourth period. “We’re very inconsistent right now,” Wolf Point Coach Troy Blount said.

The Froid/Lake Red Hawks rolled to a 70-21 non-conference boys’ basketball win in Frazer on Tuesday, Jan. 12. Froid/Lake gained a 27-5 lead in the first quarter en route to the victory. The Red Hawks scored the game’s first 12 points on an inside basket by Walker Ator, a drive by Mason Dethman, a hoop by Ator, a shot by Colt Miller, a hoop by Dethman and another basket by C. Miller.

Poplar’s wrestlers continued their strong season with a meet in Sidney on Saturday, Jan. 16. Earning two victories each were Gage Berg, Jacob Berger and Aries White Tail Feather.
