Montana State University associate professor Tricia Seifert visited Culbertson School Feb. 25 with her Success Prints Crash Course game for college preparation and time management training. The course is a college simulation strategy game designed to help students prepare for college admissions. Montana students have been selected to receive the Reach Higher Montana Scholarship for use in the 2021-2022 academic year. Scholarships must be used at accredited Montana colleges (two-year, four-year, public, private, tribal, and vocational institutions). Area students selected to receive $1,000 scholarships included: Jacob Martin, a Culbertson High School graduate attending Montana State University;

Wolf Point’s Garfield Earns Sixth Place At State Wrestling Meet


Wolf Point’s wrestlers competed in Shelby this weekend for the Class B state meet. Mason Garfield at 182 pounds and Chance Smith at 205 pounds competed for the Wolves. Garfield earned sixth place and went 3-3 at the meet. He won his first match against a senior from Simms. He then faced the top seed from Thompson Falls-Noxon. “This was a really good match. It got a little chippy out there,”

Two Poplar wrestlers placed at the Class B state meet held in Shelby on Friday and Saturday, March 5-6. Jase Frederick earned fifth place at 120 pounds. He is a three-time state placer.
