Frazer Squads Lose At Tourney
Frazer’s girls’ basketball team suffered a 52-50 loss against Nashua in loser-out action at the District 3C tournament in Glasgow on Friday, Feb. 18.
After falling behind by a 16-6 margin in the first quarter, the Bearcubs pulled to 2726 at the half.
Nashua held a 41-38 advantage after three quarters of play.

Lady Wolves Qualify For Divisional With Victory Over Poplar, 64-56
The Wolf Point Wolves put together a 9-0 run in the fourth quarter to edge Poplar, 64-56, in the first round of the District 2B girls’ basketball tournament in Malta on Thursday, Feb. 16.
The Wolves trailed 46-43 after three quarters of play, but Wolf Point battled back to a 53-53 deadlock on the scoring of J’Elle Garfield and KJ St. Marks.

Wolf Point Drops Title Game Against Malta
Wolf Point’s girls’ basketball team placed second at the District 2B tournament held in Malta.
The Wolves fell to Malta, 51-29, in the district championship game. Malta jumped out to a 12-0 lead in the first quarter. Malta held a 21-9 half-time advantage.
Malta outscored the Wolves by a 17-8 margin in the third quarter for a 38-17 lead.
J’Ellle Garfield led the Wolves with 13 points.
Poplar Boys Edge Glasgow In Overtime For Third Place At District 2B Tournament
The Poplar Indians defeated Glasgow in overtime, 5655, to earn third place in the District 2B boys’ basketball tournament held in Malta on Saturday, Feb. 18.
Two free throws by Delray Lilley with 2.5 seconds left were the difference. After Glasgow led by a 55-54 margin, Lilley was fouled and sent to the foul stripe.
Lilley intercepted Glasgow’s inbounds pass to end the contest.
