Three Wolf Point tennis players qualified for the state tournament during divisional action in Glendive last weekend. The doubles team of Kaleah Miller-Toves and Kaylee Johnson placed second at the tournament. Camp Scheduled in Wolf Point

A basketball camp featuring Ro Wiggins is scheduled for June 4 at the Wolf Point High School gym. The camp for third through seventh graders will take place from 9:30-11 a.m. The session for eighth through 12th graders is from noon to 3 p.m. For more information and associated fees for the camps, call Brock Copenhaver at 406-561-3874.

Young, Bushman Golf At State

Poplar’s Landon Young and Wolf Point’s Gaige Bushman competed at the Class B state golf meet in Shelby last week. Young had an overall score of 182 for 47th place. His rounds were 94 and 88. Bushman placed 57th with a score of 194. His rounds were 98 and 96.

Lustre Wins Divisional Track Title

Lustre Christian won the Eastern C divisional track championship with 87 points in the boys’ division during the meet in Lambert on Thursday, May 18. Placing right behind the Lions were Plentywood with 71 points, Culbertson with 62, Froid/Lake with 60 and Bainville with 48 points. The top three girls’ teams were Plentywood with 117.5 points, Scobey with 96 and Savage with 82 points.

FWP To Fix Mistake In Moose, Sheep Draw

A mistake in last week’s drawing for some moose and big horn sheep licenses will result in fewer licenses issued than were originally drawn. The mistake occurred when quotas were incorrectly entered into the drawing system by licensing staff and resulted in more licenses being drawn in some districts than what the quota dictated. The affected sheep licenses are: 482-20: drew 20 applicants,

An audit of Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks’ bonus points system found the points were being awarded and determined fairly and as required by law, but that there was also some confusion among hunters and even department employees about the system, and some data cleanup issues, that FWP has agreed to address. The bonus points can be purchased to help both residents and nonresidents increase

Weather Briefing Includes Flood Report

The highlight of this month’s Billings/Glasgow weather briefing was a rundown of the flooding impacts on the Milk River during April. According to the National Weather Service in Glasgow, the flooding resulted in 26.24 feet in Saco on April 14, which was the second highest crest on record. The high in Tampico was 27.94 feet on April 15, which was the second highest crest on record at that location.
