The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity over the past two weeks: April 16 At 10:38 a.m., a deputy responded to the town of Froid for a report of a domestic disturbance. An adult male and female had had a verbal altercation the night before. The deputy advised the pair to stay away from each other. No arrests were made. Monday, Nov. 13, 1980, started like many others for Gary Flaten of Wolf Point ... until an explosion at the Montana State Highway Department took his life and the life of truck driver Raymond Morgan of Billings. On Friday, March 22, Bill Whitmus took a break from his morning shift at Miller and Sons Supermarket to celebrate his 90th birthday alongside coworkers. A long-time employee, Whitmus has stocked and faced shelves at the community grocery store for over two decades. Even at 90 years old, he works three to four days a week — picking up extra shifts if needed — and arrives for an early start

Daisy Rae Renee Bearshear was born April 15 at 6:10 a.m. to Elijah Hawes and Madison Beardshear of St. Marie at Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital in Glasgow. She weighed seven pounds 13 ounces and was 20.5 inches long. Grandparents are Talitha Sterling and Steven Beardshear, both of St. Marie, and Christine Espinosa of Malta.
