Bureau of Indian Affairs Fort Peck Fire prevention technician Janet Anderson spoke to area children about fires and Smokey Bear during a presentation at the Roosevelt County Library in Wolf Point on Thursday, Aug. 8.
The event was conducted to celebrate Smokey Bear’s 80th birthday. A cake was provided for the children to enjoy. A balloon displayed in honor of Smokey was also hanging.

Grand entry times are Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 1 and 7 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m.
There are guaranteed payouts in all categories.
Specials include a $1,000 Men’s Grass Dance Special honoring Headman Dancer Ronald Fast Horse and Tiny Tot specials sponsored by the Dolly Stark
