The felony charge of possession of dangerous drugs against Jason Daniel Daugherty was dismissed by District Judge David Cybulski at the end of a hearing on Wednesday, Aug. 14. The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 113 calls from Aug. 12-19. The calls included the following: Aug. 12 Deputies traveled to the Gold Dust/Black Gold Casino near the state line. A female in the parking lot talked to deputies and appeared very nervous. Using a flashlight, deputies saw tinfoil in her vehicle. An 1-year-old male was a fatality victim in Richland County on Wednesday, Aug. 14. According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the juvenile male exited the vehicle with all occupants except for the driver at close to 6:30 p.m. The 28-year-old male driver put the vehicle in reverse to exit the driveway, unaware that the boy was behind the vehicle. The juvenile was pronounced deceased on scene.

The McCone County Sheriff’s Office went to Facebook Monday, Aug. 19, seeing the public’s help in determining the owner of a John Deere payloader over the weekend. Anyone who is missing one is asked to contact the McCone County Sheriff’s Office at 406-485-3405.
