The felony charge of possession of dangerous drugs against Jason Daniel Daugherty was dismissed by District Judge David Cybulski at the end of a hearing on Wednesday, Aug. 14.
Defense attorney Jeremy Yellin’s argument was that the felony charge was based on only residue and, therefore, the charge should have been only a misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

An 1-year-old male was a fatality victim in Richland County on Wednesday, Aug. 14.
According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the juvenile male exited the vehicle with all occupants except for the driver at close to 6:30 p.m.
The 28-year-old male driver put the vehicle in reverse to exit the driveway, unaware that the boy was behind the vehicle.
The juvenile was pronounced deceased on scene.

Anyone who is missing one is asked to contact the McCone County Sheriff’s Office at 406-485-3405.
