Festive seasonal road hazards started appearing amid the construction signs on 5th Street East in Culbertson this week. Local seasonal happenings include an invite from Culbertson Cub Scout Pack 4293 to all current and former pack members to attend a Halloween themed event Friday, Oct. 20, in Williston, N.D. at Safari Trampoline. The event is a reward for their years of hard work and fundraising.

Roosevelt County 4-H horse members participated in both the Working Ranch Horse Finals at the 406 Arena in Vaughn on Sept 9-11, and the State Horse Show on Sept 22-24. Members Blythe Anderson, Copeland Anderson, Boone Vanden-Bos and Emmalyn Anderson took in the show in Vaughn with classes consisting of knowledge exam, ranch horse pattern, heading and healing, and ranch sorting.
