Pedersen Recognized By Triple State Oncology Society
In February, the Sidney Health Center Cancer Care team attended the Triple State Oncology Society Meeting in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The meeting included members from the Montana, Wyoming and Idaho Oncology Societies through the Association of Community Cancer Centers (ACCC). The annual meeting serves to gather, educate, network and recognize members who volunteer several hours.

Cowgirls Place Fourth At Eastern C Divisional Tournament
Scobey downed Culbertson by a 43-39 final in an exciting third-place game at the Eastern C divisional girls’ basketball tournament in Wolf Point on Friday, March 3.
The Cowgirls put together a solid effort throughout the contest and held a 26-25 lead after three quarters of play. Free throws by Makena Hauge and Perla Burciaga put the Cowgirls ahead 30-28 with 5:19 remaining.

Cowgirls Knock Off Circle, 47-42
Senior Alicyn Ator hasn’t been a big scorer during her basketball career in Culbertson, but her two free throws were definitely huge ones in the Cowgirls’ 47-42 victory over Circle at the Eastern C divisional tournament in Wolf Point on Friday, March 3.

Red Hawks Lose Contest At Buzzer
A three-pointer at the buzzer ended the season for Froid/Lake’s boys’ basketball team at the Eastern C divisional tournament on Saturday, March 4.
Plentywood’s Carson Solberg hit an off-balanced shot from three-point range to edge the Red Hawks, 53-50, on Saturday morning.
The Red Hawks led most of the contest including by a 22-16 half-time margin.

Froid/Lake Girls Play Strong Against Plentywood
Froid/Lake’s girls’ basketball team accounted for a solid defensive effort but lost to Plentywood, 41-26, in the first round of the Eastern C divisional tournament on Wednesday, March 1.
Plentywood gained a 21-10 half-time margin, but the Red Hawks tallied the first five points of the third quarter on a hoop by Dasani Nesbit and a three-pointer by Bailee Davidson.
