The 2024 Roosevelt County Fair Horse Show started Tuesday, Aug. 6, at 9 a.m. at the Culbertson Saddle Club. The results are as follows:
Horse Showmanship Junior Class: Grand champion: Blythe Anderson, reserve champion: Emilynn Priddy- Powell.
Horse Showmanship Beginner Class: Grand champion: Tacey Traeger; reserve champion: Sterling Anderson.

The 2024 Roosevelt County Fair Horse Show started Tuesday, Aug. 6, at 9 a.m. at the Culbertson Saddle Club. The results are as follows:

Pending Helena approval, a new Montana state record Chinook salmon was caught on Fort Peck Reservoir on Friday, Aug. 9, reports the Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Region 6 office.
At around noon, Jim Fauth of Malta was fishing east of the Fort Peck Marina, trolling a flasher and squid, when he landed the monster fish.
Fauth’s fish weighed in at 32.62 pounds on a certified scale, measuring

Trustees present were Ian Walker, chair, Wendy Becker, Amber Fox, Chris Petersen and Lisa Steppler District representatives were Nicole Simonsen and Lora Finnicum. No visitors were present.
