The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 51 calls from Sept. 23-30. The calls included the following: Sept. 24 Deputies responded to Culbertson city limits for a report of two missing bicycles that were taken outside of a residence. Deputies patrolled the city limits and couldn’t locate the bikes. Later on, the reporting party said that he found the bikes laying in an alley.

The Roosevelt County Courthouse was a busy place on Tuesday, Sept. 24, as District Judge David J. Cybulski presided over nine cases. Bruce Shane Walter made not guilty pleas to the felony charge of driving under the influence, fourth or subsequent offense, along with the misdemeanor charges of open alcohol beverage container in a vehicle and speeding on a non-interstate road.
