Culbertson/Bainville Runners Cut Times At Glasgow Meet

The Culbertson/Bainville cross-country team participated at the Glasgow Invitational held in Fort Peck on Saturday, Sept. 18. Kayli Olson finished in 14th place with a personal best time of 22:50.42. “I have really been working hard,” Olson said of the strong showing. The Culbertson Cowgirls cruised to a straight set home victory over MonDak on Saturday, Sept. 18. Culbertson won by a 25-10, 25-16, 25-13, final. Highlights for the Cowgirls included Makena Hauge with 17 kills, six aces, three blocks and 25 digs. Destiny Thompson scored eight kills, three aces, two blocks and 17 digs. Montana’s young hunters will have the state’s waterfowl and pheasants pretty much to themselves Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 25-26. Licensed hunters ages 15 and under may hunt ducks, geese, coots, mergansers and ring-necked pheasants statewide on these two special days set aside for youngsters, but they must be accompanied by a non-hunting adult.
