School Election Filing Deadline Is March 25
Area residents can consider seeking school board positions as many trustee spots are up for election this spring. Deadline for filing is 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 25. Election day is scheduled for Tuesday, May 4.

County Cupboard Says Scouts Food Drive A Success
Organizers with the County Cupboard food bank in Culbertson said the recent food drive held by Culbertson Cub Scouts Pack 4293 was a success. “We appreciate your hard work and spirit of philanthropy,” said a March 14 social media post from the food bank.

Williston Man Sentenced For Intent To Distribute
Fredrick Jamison, 33, Williston, N.D., received a suspended sentence for the offense of being in possession of dangerous drugs, meth, with the intent to distribute.
The plea agreement called for Jamison to have a deferred sentence of five years, but District Judge David Cybulski noted that Jamison wasn’t eligible for a deferred sentence because of a prior felony.

Geno’s Trial For Homicide Scheduled For May 3-7
Trial dates for Clovis Christopher Geno, 55, of Memphis, Tenn., has been scheduled for May 3-7 in Wolf Point.
Geno was charged on Feb. 20, 2020, with deliberate homicide in the death of Ramona Hilton Naramore, 62. Naramore was found on Jan. 26, 2020, at the residence she shared with Geno in Culbertson. An autopsy determined that Naramore died of asphyxiation.
