Due to severe weather in areas of Montana, Gov. Greg Gianforte has announced a one-week extension of the 2021 Montana Individual Income Tax Return deadline to Monday, April 25. “After hearing from Montanans impacted by the recent winter storms, particularly in eastern Montana, we moved quickly to extend the state filing deadline for those unable to get their tax returns in on time,” Gianforte

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks biologists completed their surveys of the Missouri River Breaks elk hunting districts 621, 622 and 630 in February. Overall, the surveys indicate that elk numbers are below current population objectives for each respective portion of the Breaks. Appropriate management actions, such as adjusting antlerless B-licenses for this fall, may occur in some districts.
