Commissioners Make Employee Changes

Jenna Presser has been hired as the new IT coordinator for Roosevelt County. She replaces Cole Hanks, who is now working for the Wolf Point School District. It was noted that Presser has two years of computer science education and is a good fit for the county. Shelley Arndt was promoted to deputy county treasurer. Commissioners approved a pay raise for treasurer employee Carly Tattoo.

Last Tuesday afternoon, Northern Plains Independent publisher and owner Darla Downs was just finishing up the touches on that week’s newspaper, amidst the sawing, hammering and air compressors just a few feet away from her office. Montana Wheat & Barley Committee Releases Variety Survey Reports

The 2021 Wheat and Barley Variety Survey reports are now available. Funded by the Montana Wheat and Barley Committee, these reports were conducted by the National Agricultural Statistics Service Mountain Regional Office to help guide breeding programs in selecting cultivars to develop that will ultimately increase the onfarm profitability and enduse marketability of Montana- grown crops.
