National Weather Service Glasgow head Tanja Fransen has been selected for a promotion to the NWS office in Portland, Oregon. She will be the supervisor for that office, according to a May 19 press release.

Bainville Faith Fellowship Church hosted a Lego creation competition for children in grades K-12 on Wednesday, May 4. Participants were given a tub of Legos and 20 minutes to build and name their own unique creation. The top three places from each age division were awarded with gift certificates, which were donated by The Welcome Stop of Bainville. In total, 19 children participated. Faith Fellowship
