Duane Olson
Duane Udell Olson of Froid, 82, died Monday, March 2, at the Roosevelt Medical Center in Culbertson.
He was born June 13, 1937, to Sigurd and Ethel (Casper) Olson at the hospital in Poplar and was an enrolled member of the Fort Peck Indian Tribe. His sister, Dolores, was born three years later. When Dolores was baptized as a baby in Scobey, he was also baptized and said very clearly at the baptism,
Allyn Skyberg
Allyn “Buster” Walter Skyberg, 95, of rural Fort Peck, died March 6, 2020, in Glasgow.
He was born Dec. 14, 1924, in Bonin, McCone County, to Melvin and Thora (Wangsness) Skyberg. He grew up on the family ranch where, in his youth, he herded sheep and later cattle.

Harry Edward Purvis, 69, of Culbertson, Mont., died Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at the Roosevelt Medical Center in Culbertson.
He was born Feb. 26, 1951, in Glendive to Vernon H. Purvis Sr. and Logeria (Lory) Capa Purvis, the fourth of seven children. He attended school in Glendive and graduated with the class of 1969 from Dawson County High School.

Ronald Pennell
Ronald “Ron” Pennell passed away at his home on Feb. 22, 2020.
Ron was born July 29, 1942 in Fairview, Mont., at the Broadhead house to Carl and Mary (Phay) Pennell. Ron lived in Culbertson, Mont., and graduated from high school in 1960. Ron then joined the National Guard from 1960 to 1966.

District To Host Henry March 16
Anti-bullying speaker William Henry will return for a second community presentation March 16. The event will take place at the Wolf Point Cultural Center. Food and drinks will be provided and will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Parents and guardians of area students are encouraged to attend. The event, hosted by the district, is a Title I parental involvement meeting.

Sharon Louise (Martell) Hawk, 72, died March 2, 2020, in Billings at the Billings Clinic.
She was born Oct. 6, 1947, in Sidney to Daniel and Mary (Colvin) Martell. She was raised in the Fort Kipp and Blair areas of the Fort Peck Reservation. She attended school in Brockton.
In 1966, she went to Oakland, Calif., to attend nurse’s training, where she met her future husband.

Helen Roberta Boyd, 52, died at home Sunday, March 1, 2020, in Miles City.
She along with her twin brother, Patrick James Boyd ,were born to Geraldine Spotted Bird and Lionel D. Boyd in Great Falls on March 21, 1967.
