Indians Cross-Country Team Earns Honors At Class B State Meet


Poplar’s Jazmin Gorder placed 11th at the Class B state cross-country meet to earn All-State recognition. The senior finished with a time of 21:05.10. Broadwater’s Emma Stolte was the individual champion at 19:18.91. Poplar placed ninth in the team standings with 278 points. The top three teams were Red Lodge, Broadwater and Columbus. Reinita Irizarry placed 34th at 22:22.17.

Wolves Prepare For District Tourney


Wolf Point will host the five-team District 2B volleyball tournament starting on Friday, Oct. 29. The Lady Wolves, the fourth seed, will open the tournament against Poplar, the fifth seed, at 10 a.m. on Friday. The winner will take on top-seeded Glasgow at 1 p.m. Malta, the second seed, will face Harlem at 11:30 a.m. The championship match is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30.

Wolves Drop Contest To Glasgow


Glasgow controlled the line of scrimmage and took advantage of Wolf Point turnovers to defeat the Wolves, 58-7, in Wolf Point on Friday, Oct. 22. The opening drive was one of Wolf Point’s highlights of the evening. After a roughing the punter penalty gave the Wolves a first down at the Glasgow 48, the Wolves picked up a first down at the 36 on a pass from Juliun Benson to Cale Jensen.
