A Wolf Point man accused of murdering a man by arson on the Fort Peck Indian Reservation was arraigned Tuesday, Dec. 23, U.S. Attorney Kurt Alme said. Anthony David Flynn, 35, pleaded not guilty to an indictment charging him with felony murder and arson. If convicted of the most serious charge contained in the indictment, Flynn faces mandatory life imprisonment, a $250,000 fine and five years

An adult male died in a camper fire in Poplar on Friday, Dec. 26. The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office reports that authorities were called to the fire on the 400 block of G. Street East at 8:48 p.m. The Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice was the primary law enforcement at the scene. Responding to the fire were the Poplar Volunteer Fire Department and Poplar ambulance service.
