Keith Lavell Bryan, 89, of Wolf Point died Monday, April 6, 2020.
Born in Springville, Utah, to Jessie and Harvey Bryan Sr. on April 19, 1929, the family relocated to Wolf Point in 1936 and he always considered Wolf Point his home.

The U.S Office of Women’s Health says, “ Babies of mothers who do not get prenatal care are … five times more likely to die than those babies who are born to mothers who do get consistent care.”

Valley County Extension agent Roubie Younkin told the Northern Plains Independent that members of the Lucky Clover 4-H club in Fort Peck and Nashua have been mailing cards to area residents who may be feeling the effects of social isolation.
According to Younkin, there are 18 members in the club. She said all 18 kids made cards. She doesn’t know what messages they contained.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has closed all campgrounds at Fort Peck Reservoir that they manage.
The closure includes the Fort Peck Interpretive Center, powerhouse tours, group shelters, playgrounds, fishing docks and authorized swimming beaches.
Day activities such as boat launch sites, picnic sites, trails and viewing sites will remain open; however, restroom availability will be restricted

Spring seasons have been in limbo since mid-March when the Montana High School Association postponed the start of spring prep athletics until further notice due to concerns after the first four positive results of testing in Montana for COVID-19.

Poplar Youth Baseball and Softball has canceled the 2020 summer youth seasons due to safety concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Poplar coaches Lane Dehner and Coy Weeks both said the season is canceled.
This summer season would have been the 33rd consecutive season for Poplar.
“We have made the decision to cancel our Poplar baseball and softball program for the 2020 season,”

Manager Larry Neutgens told the Northern Plains Independent that they have started utilizing six 3D printers to make masks for medical staff in the state. He said the masks are being sent to Billings Clinic and may be redistributed as needed to other hospitals and clinics.
