Robert Azure III


Robert Ben “Robby” Azure III, 29, of Wolf Point died May 4, 2022. He was born Dec. 7, 1992, to Denise Melbourne and Robert Azure, Sr. in Wolf Point. He was raised by his grandparents, Gloria and Tom War-Club. He attended school in Wolf Point. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, shooting guns, cooking, visiting with family and friends, cruising and listening to all kinds of music and watching TV. He is survived by his parents, Denise and Curtis Melbourne of Wolf Point and Robert Sr. and Crystal Azure of Poplar; brothers, Derrick FastHorse of Wolf Point, Devin Hall of Wolf Point, Alfred Longee of Wolf Point, Robert Azure Jr. of Poplar and Jason FastHorse of Wolf Point; adopted brother, Ezra Montclair Sr. of Poplar; sisters, Trisha Longee of Wolf Point, Kiahlee FastHorse of Browning, Deanna Azure of Ronan and Chasidie Azure of Wolf Point; adopted sister, Malleena FastHorse of Wolf Point; and grandparents, Nelson Philbrick of Brockton and Maggie FastHorse of Billings, Arlie Diserly of Poplar, Adbert Lone Bear Jr. of Poplar, Gordon Lonetree of Glasgow, Clifford Jerome of Poplar, Karen (Craig) Cain of Poplar, Henry (Noreen) Lone Bear of Brockton, Patricia Red Star Lone Bear of Wolf Point, Patricia (Travis BetsHisMedicine) Philbrick of Fort Kipp and Sandy Azure of Wolf Point. Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 17 at the new Community Hall in Wolf Point with cremation to follow. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel was entrusted with arrangements.

Harold Boyd III

Harold Boyd III


Harold John Boyd III, 43, of Poplar died May 11, 2022. He was born on April 29, 1979, to Cheryl and Harold Boyd Jr. at the Poplar Hospital. He was known for his helping hand, smile and sense of humor. In his younger years, he was a traditional dancer. He loved dancing with his aunt Marcella (Johnny) Eagle Boy. He played basketball and joined boxing in his high school years at the Poplar Schools. He received his GED on June 8, 1998, at Clearfield Job Corps Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. He came home to Montana where he met back up with Armanda Monique Belt-Boyd. In that reunion came Alexis, Christian “Bright Eyes,” Bella, Angel, Monique, Azaleah (Caitlyn), Harold IV, Lailah and Majesty Boyd. He loved his only sister, Brandy Rose, and his baby brother, Merle Jeremiah Boyd. He always had a smile and an “I love you” for his extended family. He was preceded in death by Harry Iron Bear, Christian Boyd and Cayden Longtree. A wake was held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18, at the Poplar Cultural Center. Funeral services were held Thursday, May 19, at 1 p.m. at the Poplar Cultural Center. Interment was in the Poplar City Cemetery. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel was entrusted with arrangements.

John Manning

John Manning


John Duane Manning, 87, Homestead died Jan. 30, 2022, at his son's home in Worden. He was born to William Manning Sr. and Gladys (Mork) Manning on Aug. 16, 1934, at the family ranch in Homestead, joining his sister Dorothy two years his senior. His family was part of the Assiniboine/Sioux Fort Peck Tribe. He was raised on the family ranch west of Home- stead and was educated in Medicine Lake. He joined the Army and was stationed at Fort Lewis, Wash. His time in the mil- itary was his only absence from the Manning family ranch. He married JoAnn Lizotte of Froid on Dec. 8, 1971. To this union, two children were born, John William “JW” and Jolynn Anastasia Manning. He enjoyed bronc riding and loved rodeos attending the NFR rodeos in Oklahoma and later in Las Vegas. Many trips were made to rodeos where he instilled the love of He lived out his days at the family ranch near Homestead until failing health when he went to stay with his son in Worden. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Julie Ann, from a previous marriage. He is survived by his son, John William 'JW' Manning of Worden; daughter, Jolynn Anastasia Voth of Sharon Springs, Kansas; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services were held Saturday, May 14, at the Medicine Lake Fire Hall with interment at the Big Lake (Homestead) Cemetery.
