For the first time ever, Culbertson will host the statewide 2023 Rec Lab on March 17-19. Rec Lab features hands-on activities and provides an opportunity for youth and adults to enhance their leadership, communication and team building skills in an action packed and interactive setting. Roosevelt County Extension agent Wendy Becker said she is anticipating 150 students will attend the event.

The Fort Peck Farmer/Rancher Mental Health Day will feature both suicide alertness training and equine therapy in Wolf Point on Saturday, March 11. Roosevelt County commissioners heard from representatives of Great Northern Development Corp., during their regular meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 14. Tori Matejovsky, executive director, and Brianna Vine, housing specialist, discussed potential new programs to help small business owners and new home buyers. At a later date, the county will have to approve the programs in order for them to become available.

The Culbertson Town Council held their regular meeting Thursday, Feb. 9. There was no public comment. Jeremy Fadness from WWC Engineering told the council that a pre-construction meeting is planned for March 6 to prepared for spring work on the Montana Department of Transportation’s Highway 2 project.
