A Billings business owner accused of developing and selling software devices and kits to circumvent emissions monitoring systems for at least 845 diesel trucks admitted last to violating the Clean Air Act, U.S. Attorney Jesse Laslovich said. A poll commissioned by the Montana Wildlife Federation in July and released this week found broad support for parts of a Bureau of Land Management oil and gas rule released earlier this year that Montana’s Republican federal delegation is seeking to block from taking effect. The poll was conducted by Republican-leaning firm New Bridge Strategy July 15-21 and surveyed 500 registered Montana voters

Remains Of Missing Climber Found At Glacier National Park

The body of missing mountaineer Grant Marcuccio, a 32-year-old man from Whitefish, was found by Two Bear Air at approximately 2 p.m., on Aug. 25, Glacier National Park said in a news release. The cause of death is still under investigation, but traumatic injuries and location of the body are indicative of a fall, the park said. Glacier provided the following details: Two Bear Air spotted

Froid/Lake Girls Shoot For Strong Season

After qualifying for the Eastern C divisional volleyball tournament last season, Froid/Lake returns all but one starter entering this campaign. Returning starters include senior Mara Salvevold, senior Brooklynn Nordwick, senior Addison Elvsaas, senior Alexa Nelson and sophomore Isabelle Nordwick. Salvevold was a first-team All-Conference selection and Elvsaas was a second-team pick last season.
