There weren’t many good things to celebrate during 2020, but area residents enjoyed one of the warmest Decembers in history to end the year. According to the National Weather Service in Glasgow, 2020 had the fourth warmest December in history for the area. The only warmer Decembers occurred in 1957, 1954 and 1999. The average temperature in Glasgow during December 2020 was 27.1 degrees.

The Froid/Lake Red Hawks emerged with a 46-45 victory over Fairview in a District 2C boys’ basketball showdown in Medicine Lake on Saturday, Jan. 9. After a 23-23 deadlock at half-time, the Red Hawks led 37-35 at the end of the third quarter. The Froid/Lake Red Hawks scored a 46-30 win over Fairview in Medicine Lake on Saturday, Jan. 9. Top scorers for the Red Hawks were Baylee Davidson with 19 points and Dasani Nesbit with 10 points.
