The Roosevelt Memorial Healthcare Foundation Scholarship Committee has awarded two local students with $500 scholarships to be used toward continuing their education in healthcare. This year’s recipients were Colter Romo, a senior at Culbertson School, and Amy Petersen, a Roosevelt Medical Center employee furthering her education in social work. Romo plans to attend Montana State University

Morgan Mason is one of six women’s basketball players from Montana State University Northern who has earned selection to the Frontier Conference’s Academic All-Conference team. Mason, a junior from Froid, is majoring in education. Froid High School’s ninth and 10th grade art students recently completed a colorful and fun art unit on recycling. Froid art teacher Maria Gallegos led the classes through a cup recycling project by first showing videos on how paper cups are made. Students learned that paper cups are a one-time-use item that most people use once and throw away; usually after less than 10 minutes of use.
